<text>Muslims believe that human life is sacred and that it belongs to God. Therefore, all human life must be treated with dignity and respect. Muslims are also very realistic and know that all beings will die one day. The Quran is clear that death is a transition from the present existence to a future life. It is also a tradition among Muslims that they prefer to die at home. To address this issue among children, the Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT) has been designed as a model for palliative care and hospice care for pediatric patients living in Palestine. PACT intends to educate patients and their families regarding treatment, improve dialogue and communication with medical professionals, provide patient care, and assist families during the grieving process. With the implementation of PACT the dignity and respect of all human life, even in the last moments, would be protected and the greater good would be promoted.
